Suggester says: "Its a wonderful, sweet, intimate capture of a simple moment in time and is quite touching." A long journey later by ~darkchocolade reminded me of the scene in the movie Heights, where Elizabeth Banks's character Isabel Lee took her camera and took a photo of a mother and child in a train and made me wonder if this was indeed that shot she took. Very sweet moment, I like how the baby's eyes are still slightly open. This one's easily a favorite.

Beautiful child, beautiful woman, beautiful moment.

Beautiful shot! By textbook definition, this is what a black & white should look like—rich velvety backs and strong whites. Composition is perfect—she’s just off center which I think enhances the image overall.
Brilliant job. By far, your best shot out of your gallery.

You should see the fibre based print... the real thing in comparison to the screen version... a lot of the beauty is lost in translation.

Bt thank you.

p.s. - just because you post nice comments here, doesn't mean I'm gonna go easy on you in the forum ;)

I'd say this is one of the better prints, if not the best.

On the real thing the black tones are so rich and creamy that you could actually eat them and live off them. Fibre based paper is beautiful.

I'd agree with you, one of my best shots and prints.

I know, but sometimes, I can't help but be nice! ;)

I almost lose the sense of who is protecting who. The mother seems so tired and, innocent almost, that my first impression was that the baby was watching over her. All interpretations aside, this is a beautiful capture.
